The implementation of Field Work Practice (KKL) for the 2023 class of the Geography Education Study Program at Mulawarman University (UNMUL) was conducted in Central Java and Yogyakarta. The activities included visits to several strategic locations such as Glagah Beach, Bird-Friendly Village, BRIN Karangsambung, Geopark, Mount Merapi, Prambanan Temple, and the Dirgantara Museum. This program aimed to provide students with direct field experiences in exploring geological diversity, conservation efforts, local culture, as well as anthropological and historical aspects of the region. The benefits of this KKL activity include enhancing students' academic and practical competencies in understanding geographical phenomena through direct observation and active field engagement, as well as broadening their cultural insights and knowledge of environmental sustainability in the area. It is expected that, through this activity, students will be able to apply their acquired knowledge more comprehensively and critically, while also contributing to conservation efforts and regional development based on geographical understanding.
